Jurassic Coast Quality Business Scheme - Relaunch event held in Exmouth, recruitment drive.

The Jurassic Coast Quality Business Scheme is a business assurance blueprint based on promoting a standard level of good business practice long the Jurassic Coast (running from Exmouth to Bournemouth) capitalising on the region’s high profile of being a World Heritage Site, particularly in the run up to the 2012 Olympics as an international focus will be drawn to witness the sailing events to be held here.

The relaunch of the Jurassic Coast Quality Business Scheme was a busy event, attended by more than 30 local business representatives, aimed at boosting awareness of the Scheme and its benefits to the members took place in Exmouth November 5th 2009.
Delegates gathered to hear Ben Wyer, Jurassic Coast SWRDA Programme Officer give a brief account of the evolution of the Jurassic Coast and how its status as a World Heritage Site sets it apart from other areas of interest in the world.
Tony Collins, Exmouth Town Manager, then spent a short while extolling how the scheme could benefit the town as a whole, helping attract businesses and more visitors through greater exposure and guarantee of quality.
Before finishing the evening, kindly hosted by Stuartline Cruises, with a chance for networking over a buffet, Charles Trevor-Roper, project coordinator in Devon County, explained how membership would also include individually tailored business and branding advice as well as being available for promotional and marketing benefits.
