Meetings are held quarterly and offer the opportunity to share best practice, exchange ideas, hear from guest speakers and discuss topical issues. For businesses in Torbay there is also the Torbay Green Tourism Forum, again this group of businesses meet quarterly and use the forum as chance to share ideas, discuss current issues and offer each other advice and assistance. Following the closure of South West Tourism, a new alliance (the South West Tourism Alliance) made up tourism membership organisations, business groups and other key players in tourism has been formed. Funding has been secured for one year to provide help for the tourism sector in becoming greener and sustainable, and this is being delivered by Sustainability South West.
